
Protecting the Plateau with Hudson Taconic Lands: Hemlock Woolly Adelgid
This two-part program with Hudson Taconic Lands is designed to train volunteers on using iMapInvasives mobile app to monitor for the invasive insect hemlock woolly adelgid (Adelges tsugae) on eastern hemlock (Tsuga canadensis). Part 1 is a zoom webinar that will give background on HWA and go into how the iMap app works. This will be followed up by an in-field portion in which participants will learn HWA survey protocols, how to recognize an infestation, and how to collect and report data.
