Are you a land manager or involved with a group concerned with invasive species? Become a PRISM Partner!
We welcome the participation of regional organizations, agencies, and individuals. It is through these partnerships that the framework of the PRISM is achieved by assisting with goals and advising partners. Attend any of our meetings and to serve on our committees (steering, conservation, aquatic, education and outreach, or agriculture for starters to learn more.
Through our listserv, partners are kept up to date on regional and statewide information regarding invasive species, as well as meetings. To join the listserv, please email [email protected] with 'join' as the subject line (no quotes) and nothing in the body of the email, including signatures. You will receive a confirmation email when your request is processed successfully.
Concerned citizens:
The PRISM provides volunteer opportunities to individuals or groups looking to get involved in early detection and locating invasive species. The PRISM uses the iMapInvasives database system for collecting information and entering data; this data then will help us to inform our management decisions. iMap trainings are given to prepare volunteers in identification and usage of the program. Check out our home page to find trainings in the future, or contact us to have an iMap training come to you.
We will be scheduling removal events for the 2020 season soon. We would love your assistance in combating these aggressive organisms, whether it's pulling water chestnut from your kayak or chopping down plants in the woods.
